Physical Therapy
Our licensed physical therapists will help you recover from injury by slowly increasing your mobility, stabilization, and strength. We also weave in injury-prevention principles to help safeguard against re-injury.
Our Pilates-based physical therapy is best for individuals experiencing acute pain and may benefit from Pilates before transitioning to other programs.
-
Our skilled physical therapists, Ravi, Sonam, and Clare, lead our physical therapy services. All PT services include:
Physical Therapy Evaluation: Before starting physical therapy, you'll receive a 75-minute full-body assessment to analyze your posture, biomechanics, musculoskeletal integrity, and mobility. After the evaluation, we'll create an individualized treatment plan to meet your individual needs. Care plans will include traditional physical therapy techniques and Pilates-based rehabilitative exercises to improve function and reduce aches and pains.
Physical Therapy Treatment: After your evaluation, we'll schedule subsequent appointments to continue one-on-one individualized sessions with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). A PT evaluation is required before initiating your customized treatment sessions.

Dry Needling
Trigger point dry needling is a valuable technique for treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions that can decrease pain, improve flexibility/stiffness, and improvemuscle strength and performance. During dry needling, a fine sterile needle is inserted into a muscle in order to stimulate tissues and inactivate trigger points. In turn, this will promote the aforementioned benefits. It is not acupuncture. No medicines are present on the filament needles.
-
Indications for TPDN:
- Acute and chronic pain
- Persistent muscle tightness
- Range of motion and strength deficits
- Headaches/migraines
- Scar tissue
- TMJ/Jaw pain
- Tendinitis
Individuals/conditions NOT appropriate for TPDN:
- Needling over or around skin lesions, i.e. cellulitis, psoriasis
- Local and systemic infections OTHER than Lyme disease
Precautions of TPDN:
- Individuals with needle phobias
- Needling in regions with lymphedema (there is no evidence that dry needling would cause or contribute to increase lymphedema)
- Patients with excessive bleeding tendencies, i.e. on blood thinners or with thrombocytopenia. Extra pressure will be placed over regions that were dry needled to ensure proper clotting time.
- Post-operative clients
What to expect out of a TPDN session
Sessions will typically be around 30-45 mins long, and they will consist of dry needling to recommended muscles as well as a movement/exercise component to promote proper tissue contraction and tissue orientation following the treatment. Soreness is a common side effect but typically only lasts 1-2 days following the treatment. The number of sessions varies per person depending on the one’s specific situation.

GRaston/MIS Therapy
Graston Technique treats soft tissue injuries. It involves using tools to gently massage and scrape the skin. This therapy is best for individuals with tendonopathies, muscle strains, ligament sprains, back pain, sports-related muscle injuries, and other soft tissue issues.
-
The Graston Technique is a manual therapy that enhances healing by breaking down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, reducing inflammation, and increasing blood flow. This technique stimulates cellular activity, which aids in tissue repair, improves range of motion, and decreases discomfort associated with tight tissues. It is commonly used to treat various soft tissue conditions, making it popular for injury treatment and prevention.
