Chicago’s Premier Medical Fitness Pilates Studio Hosts Open House at New Streeterville Location
Join Movement Med, Chicago’s premier medical fitness studio, on Wednesday, March 5, for our open house! We’re excited to invite the public to explore our new space and learn about our unique Pilates-based approach to medical fitness.
Movement Med’s Open House
During the open house event on March 5, we’re hosting nine free sessions throughout the day to highlight some of our offerings. Sessions will include a complimentary Rolfing body tune-up, an introduction to Pilates, a dry needling demonstration, and an introduction to Movement Med’s chronic back pain relief and balance programs. Attendees can expect a mix of educational presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and Q&As during these sessions.
While we highly encourage attendees to join us in person and experience the full benefits of each session, on-demand recordings of each session will be available to anyone who RSVPs.
The event will end with a casual gathering at 5:00 p.m., where attendees can meet our team and ask questions about Pilates-based medical exercises. Raffles, demonstrations, and giveaways will also be available.
Pilates-based medical fitness
Movement Med is Chicago’s first Pilates-based medical fitness studio. We’re a specialized facility that provides custom exercise programs for individuals with specific medical conditions, injuries, aging, or rehabilitation needs. Our instructors and DPTs integrate physical therapy, rehabilitation, and exercise science principles to create a safe and effective environment for clients to reach their health and fitness goals.
“The goal of Movement Med is to provide a supportive environment and help clients achieve harmony between body and mind,” says studio owner and founder Shane Keith Rhoads. “Our open house is the perfect time for individuals to learn how Pilates-based medical fitness can benefit their fitness journeys and daily lives.”
Movement Med works with individuals locally, nationally, and internationally, navigating a range of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, including spinal cord injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal stenosis, pelvic floor disorders, and coronary and cardiovascular issues. We collaborate with renowned institutions such as Zebrafish Neuro and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, as well as numerous physical therapists and medical practices, to offer a comprehensive and integrative approach to patient care.
Anyone can benefit from joining a Pilates-based medical exercise studio regardless of their health conditions or physical situations. Participating in a medical exercise program can enhance recovery, improve overall fitness, prevent injuries, manage conditions, and provide a safe environment. We offer Pilates classes, private sessions, personal training, physical therapy, medical exercise, Pilates rehabilitation, massage, Thai massage, and Rolfing.
“Our goal is to build a healthy support community during your life-long strength-building journey. At the heart of our mission is the desire for all of our clients to move often, move well, and move longer,” says Erica Mott, Certified Pilates Instructor at Movement Med.
